Diversity Visa, nieuwe regels?

Ik was net de verschillende soorten immigrant visa aan het bekijken en kwam op een voor mij nieuwe regel bij de DV:

Is dit nieuw of was dit al bekend bij de DV2020?

Voor zover ik weet is die eis er altijd al geweest. Lijkt me nou ook niet iets waar de meeste mensen niet aan kunnen voldoen.

Ik bedoel dit:

"How To Find the Qualifying Occupations on the Department of Labor Website: Qualifying DV Occupations are shown on the Department of Labor O*Net Online Database. Follow these steps, when you are in O*Net Online to find out if your occupation qualifies:

Under "Find Occupations" select "Job Family" from the pull down;
Then Browse by “Job Family”. (For example, select Architecture and Engineering) and click "GO";
Then click on the link for your specific occupation. (As an example, select Aerospace Engineers. At the bottom of this Summary Report for Aerospace Engineers, under the Job Zone section, you will find the designated Job Zone 4, SVP Range, 7.0 to < 8.0. This means using this example, Aerospace Engineering is a qualifying occupation.)
Again, you should not continue with your DV application if you do not meet the qualifying education or work experience requirements explained above. You will not be issued a visa, and any fees you pay will not be refunded."

Ik begrijp wel dat er of staat, maar als je die jobs dan bekijkt met een SVP van 7 of hoger dan denk ik dat je voor de meeste wel een high school diploma nodig hebt.
Bij ons is het namelijk zo dat onze jobs wel een SVP van 8 hebben maar het diploma niet erkend is in de VS. Vraag me dus af of dat dan voldoende is.

Dit is al sinds jaar en dag zo. Je moet in principe een diploma hebben dat equivalent is aan US high school. Een afgeronde Nederlandse middelbare school opleiding dus, maar wellicht dat vmbo of de oude mavo een twijfelgeval is aangezien dat 2 jaar minder is dan de gestelde 12.

Heb je zo'n diploma niet dan kun je ook kwalificeren op werkervaring.
