Hallo,

op de website van Alcatraz staat dat je 90 dagen vooraf tickets kan kopen, maar op diezelfde website kan je maar bestellen tot 8 mei en dat is een zeventigtal dagen. Iemand verklaring voor ?

Gebeurt wel vaker dat die websites slecht bijgehouden worden. Kan best zijn dat ze binnenkort weer een slot van 90 dagen opengooien.

Zij zijn bezig met de zomer kalender planning.
Deze week of volgende week gaan ze de site als goed is aanpassen.

We moeten de website in de gaten houden..

Deze dus https://www.alcatrazcruises.com/notification-request/ Let wel, dit is dus geen formulier voor een reservering. Je geeft ze enkel je contactgegevens en ontvangt vervolgens een melding wanneer je weer kan reserveren via de website.

Volgens hun eigen FAQ kunnen tickets ook telefonisch geboekt worden: "You can also book tickets by calling our Reservations Center at +1.415.981.ROCK. The Reservations Center is open 7 days a week, from 8:00AM to 7:00PM Pacific Time." Er is kennelijk een probleem met de website, dus ik zou verwachten dat men dan wel reserveringen voor na 9 mei telefonisch kan aannemen.

Dear Valued Alcatraz Visitors,
We understand the past few weeks have been confusing and frustrating for those trying to book tickets, and we would like to provide further clarification for the changes in availability for tickets between now and May 8th, and for tickets after May 8th.
Two weeks ago, we unexpectedly lost the booking functionality on our website. As our first priority is the safety of our guests on all levels, we very cautiously, and securely implemented a new booking system.
As we are integrating thousands of tickets into our new booking system, and working out new system errors, seeming irregularities in availability have been noted. This is a thorough, yet lengthy process, and it is nearly impossible to estimate exactly when each date and departure time will be made available. Continuing to check the website for updates is the best way to monitor changes in availability. We are not able to take advanced reservations or payments for tickets that are unavailable.
Tickets beyond May 8th are not available, because the remainder of our summer schedule is not yet confirmed. Alcatraz tours will most certainly continue beyond May 8th, with us as the concessioner, but there are currently no tickets available. Signing up for the notification is a guarantee to be notified as soon as tickets beyond this date become available; no notification will be sent out prior to these tickets being available.

Finally, when booking with third party operators we simply advise caution. There are several online websites that may claim to have availability, but because we are the only official company providing tours and transportation, these companies would have to rely on our inventory and ticketing so again, please use caution. Please note that several operators are contracted to sell our tickets as part of larger packages, and never as a ticket on its own. Tickets must always be sold with the Alcatraz ticket price disclosed, as such the Alcatraz ticket price in the package can never be higher than our rate. We cannot suggest specific tour operators.
We truly understand how important Alcatraz is for your travel plans, goals, and dreams of seeing the Island! We aim to be as transparent as possible while implementing our new system, and work to provide tickets beyond May 8th. While we diligently try to answer phone calls, voicemails, emails, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram messages, there may be a delay in responding, and sometimes repeat messaging from our crew members.
We truly appreciate the patience of everyone working with us through this process, and look forward to continue welcoming visitors to the Island throughout the summer.

Ik heb op reddit gelezen dat hun ferry contract eindigt in mei. Er kunnen sinds juli 2018 andere bedrijven voorstellen doen om deze service over te nemen.
Dus het is nog niet zeker dat Alcatrazcruises na mei nog de tours gaat aanbieden. (Ze hebben ook een voorstel gedaan)

Negeer mijn vorig bericht het is toch terug Alcatrazcruises geworden voor de volgende 15 jaar.

Het contract gaat in vanaf 9 mei. Tickets bestellen gaat nu maar tot 8 mei. Misschien heeft het daar ook iets mee te maken.

Wij zouden op 28 mei willen gaan, maar nog steeds geen antwoord gekregen via het contactformulier.

Ik heb dat formulier ingevuld een paar weken terug en zelf ook nog niets gehoord. Wij willen begin Juni gaan, maar baal toch wel dat het nu zo lang duurt ondertussen.

Sinds gisteren staat er op hun Facebook pagina een update maar die bevat geen nieuwe info.
Ze weten zelf niet wanneer het online komt.
Gewoon afwachten dus.
En wanneer het terug online komt zal de site wel platgaan omdat dan plots iedereen wil reserveren

Maar hoe kom je nu aan kaartjes dan? Gewoon bij de kassa bij pier 39? Met het grote risico dat het volgeboekt is?
