To support the US operations we have a warehouse and an office in Plainview, Long Island, where logistical, finance and customer service operations are located.

For the expansion of the US operations we are looking for a

Office manager
Seasoned professional with strong business acumen and solid financial skills

Responsibilities
• You manage our US office, located in Plainview (Long Island), supervising the local team of 6 people and you will have as main objective to manage the local non- commercial operations.
• You prepare the monthly financial reporting, the budgets and prepare all fiscal and legal declarations and you are in charge of the payroll and daily accounting tasks
• You manage the supply chain whereby you coordinate the forecasting and logistical operations for our US business.
• You supervise the customer service operations.

You report to the group CFO and work closely together with the logistic and retail operations team, located in Belgium.

Requirements
• You have a higher degree in business and have gained similar experience in a leading managerial role.
• You have a self-starting and entrepreneurial spirit
• You have 5 years of accounting/finance experience
• You are a strong people manager and able to motivate and guide a team

Heb niets met verkopen, heb zelfs ervaren dat ik niet eens over verkopen kan schrijven. Plus heb weinig affiniteit met chocolade, behalve dan het eten ervan af en toe.

Merkwaardig dat de procedure via BE verloopt.

Waar stond die vacature? Het lijkt me sterk dat ook mensen die niet al in de V.S. wonen en werken daarop kunnen reageren. En zelfs als dat wel zo is, zouden die dan enige kans hebben? Er zijn immers legio Amerikanen die deze baan ook kunnen doen. Taalvaardigheid in Vlaams en/of Frans wordt niet eens als vereiste genoemd.

Ik heb de job via via doorgekregen via de Chamber of Commerce. En ik vermoed dat je als Amerikaan of met een geldige verblijfs- en werkstatus in de US meer kans zal maken dan als gewoon Belgske in Belgie. Maar er staat niet expliciet iets bij vermeld.
Heb trouwens nog andere job doorgekregen, maar heb hun deze keer gevraagd of het ook open staat voor mensen zonder visum. Nog geen reactie gehad.
