Annulering Wolcott hotel NY

Van Wolcott ( geboekt bij hotels.com) kregen wij onderstaand bericht.
Mijn vraag is of meer mensen dit hebben gehad én, niet onbelangrijk, lopen we de kans als we een ander hotel boeken op eenzelfde annulering?
Onze reisdata zijn 14-19 april 2022

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that the Wolcott Hotel will be closed to transient hotel guests indefinitely. With the current Delta variant and uncertainty when travel will return, I feel this is the best course of action for the hotel and her employees for the near future.
Please cancel your reservation the same way you made it. If you used Expedia please cancel on Expedia. If you used a travel company, contact them, and cancel your reservation. The hotel is NOT holding any deposit money, please, again, please contact the company you made your reservations with to get a rrefund.
When Wolcott plans to reopen we will contact you and try to honor your current rate.

De kans dat een hotel sluit is natuurlijk altijd aanwezig, zeker in deze rare tijd. Ik denk dat je minder kans hebt op sluiting bij de grote hotelketens.
