Ervaringen March Field Air Museum gevraagd.
Iemand ooit bij het March Field Air Museum in Riverside geweest? Is het de moeite waard, of is het Pima Air in Tucson meer de moeite waard?

Re: Ervaringen March Field Air Museum gevraagd.
Nog nooit geweest, maar ik vond dit op Tripadvisor (Reviewed May 21, 2007):
This museum appears to be a largely volunteer affair. You won't find a slick or well-designed museum space, but you will find a slightly bewildering exhibit space that obviously required a lot of time and effort to put together.
The entrance courtyard is very nice with several memorials including those to James Doolittle as well as the K-9 corps. Inside the main hanger is a vast collection of photos along with some memorabilia on display. 90 percent covers WWII with some material on Vietnam, Desert Storm and WWI.
Outside, several planes, mostly modern military aircraft, are parked on a dusty patch of ground. Most impressive among these are a Superfortress and a SR-71 Blackbird. A small tram tour is available for $3 (in addition to the $7 entrance fee) and includes commentary on several of the planes. On weekends, an adjacent P-38 museum is open to the public and contains photographs and memorabilia from each of the squadrons that flew P-38s.
Hard-core aviation buffs will probably love this museum. For the casual visitor, however, this museum doesn't offer enough to make it a destination by itself.
